Your New MasterCard Debit Card
Our cards come with the following improved benefits plus many more:
- Apple Pay™
- EMV chip technology
- Purchase Assurance Protection
- Global travel assistance and concierge services
- Rental car and personal coverage
- Identity Theft Resolution Services
With EMV chip technology, common methods of stealing card data is thwarted. Unlike magnetic-strip cards, chip cards do not store any information. Instead, they generate a one-time, unique authorization code for each transaction. This makes our new cards virtually impossible to duplicate.
Chip cards, also known as EMV cards, are becoming the standard around the world. In Europe, 84% of cards are chip cards, and are used in 97% of all card transactions.* MasterCard is accepted at over 36 million locations worldwide, which means you’ll never have to worry about not having access to your money.
Smart & Simple Spending
As a member of our credit union in Ventura County, you gain access to a variety of financial tools that you can use to improve your financial prowess and make your life easier. Whether you like to shop online or are always on the go, the one thing that you’ll need in your wallet is one of our debit cards. They work just like credit cards, making it easy for you to swipe and go with ease, without having to worry about accruing interest. Yet they work like checks, since all of the purchases that you make using our credit union debit cards are deducted directly from the money that is available in your checking account. This makes it easy for you to monitor your transactions and stay within budget.
