VCCU's Emergency programs are designed to help members with hardship during times of crisis in our communities.

How can we help?

A short-term emergency loan for up to $5,000 | 0% APR* | 90 day term

Members may qualify for a short term loan to assist during times of hardship due to a disaster or public emergency.  There are no payments due for the first 90 days.

*APR = Annual Percentage Rate. Loan amount may differ depending on credit worthiness and length of membership and credit history. Members without funds to repay may apply for another VCCU product at the current interest rate.

Consumer Loan Deferral
Members may be eligible for loan payment deferrals of 90 days for auto loans and 60 days for credit cards and lines of credit.

Total Loss Auto Loans
In the event of a total loss due to natural disaster, members are automatically approved for a new auto loan, up to the initial approved amount plus 10% specifically for financing GAP/MBP. Requests for a loan amount and term greater than the initial loan amount must be submitted as a new loan application. 

Skip A Pay
VCCU members can have their Skip A Pay fee waived, if eligible. If you skip a payment, interest will continue to accrue and the total amount you pay over the life of the loan will be slightly higher.

Members affected by disaster or public emergency have the ability to utilize any term savings currently in a CD account. You may be able to withdraw funds early and without penalty.

We understand that during times of hardship, you need things fast. This is why we make sure to expedite all emergency program requests to ensure fast turnarounds and quality service.

Family Member Relief Loan

If you are a family member of a VCCU member and have been directly impacted by a disaster or a public emergency, you may qualify for an Emergency loan for up to $5,000 at 0% APR* for 90 days. 

*APR = Annual Percentage Rate. Loan amount may differ depending on creditworthiness and credit history.

Non-Member Assistance

Non-VCCU members may qualify for up to a $500 loan payable within 90 days of funding. All eligible non-VCCU members must meet VCCU field of membership requirements or have a connection to a current member or a Select Employee Group. Direct Deposit is required upon loan funding.
