Ask Joe
It seems that at the end of the year, people ask how we did at VCCU. I’m happy to report that 2013 started great and kept getting better!

We were again named Ventura County’s favorite financial institution by readers of the VC Star and VC Reporter. I want to thank everyone who voted for us.

We will do our best to remain the county’s favorite, especially with the new office we opened in Port Hueneme. It enables us to better serve members who live or work nearby, while introducing us to new members in the neighborhood.

In fact, all of our members enjoyed increased convenience. By joining the CO-OP Shared Branch Network, we made it possible for you to walk into more than 6,800 participating credit unions across the country and conduct transactions just like you were in your local VCCU office.

Also in 2013, we introduced a bright new look. Marketing professionals call it “re-branding,” but I simply say we now reflect the joy and vitality of “Living the Life” in Ventura County. We’re giving our website a makeover too; you can read about it in this newsletter.

We added another community service by introducing MOGL, a unique program that helps feed the hungry while offering benefits to members at great local restaurants. You can read more about MOGL in this newsletter.

Other improvements are on the drawing board for 2014, including an enhanced business lending program and office remodels.

I’ll be back next quarter with more answers to your questions, so send them to
