  • Branch Representative (Full and part time)

    Provide quick and accurate service in a professionally friendly manner. Open all types of share accounts, including revocable trusts, IRAs and sole proprietorships.  Perform duties related to originating and funding loans.  Perform teller functions such as processing deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan payments, account closeouts, bond redemptions and file maintenances as directed; cashes checks; activate and change PINs for ATM and debit cards; issue cashier’s, traveler’s and credit union checks; process mail, Night Deposit and Quick Drop deposits; generate statements; accept stop payment requests.  Handle members’ concerns, complaints and transactions with minimal assistance. Operations: Adhere to all teller and check cashing procedures and deposit limits as outlined in the Authority Limits for this position.  Balance currency, coin, and checks at end of shift to totals generated by system. Maintain familiarity and comply with all applicable branch policies and procedures such as accepting negotiable items, scanning checks, buying and selling cash from and to CDMs/TCRs or other Branch Reps/Vault Teller, opening/closing procedures and all regulations specific to branches (Bank Secrecy Act, Reg CC, Reg E, Patriot Act). Sales: Maintain thorough product knowledge for credit union products and services, including all types of loans.  Provide general information to members; assist them with completing applications. Determine members’ needs and cross sells Credit Union services and products; achieve sales goals as assigned. Actively participate in sales training classes, meetings and activities. Maintain a professional comportment at all times and comply with all Credit Union policies and procedures.

  • Business Development Officer - Ventura County (Full-time)

    • SBA Loan Experience preferred.
    • Business Lending Experience preferred.
    • Sales of Financial Services to Businesses required.
    • Position will be based out of Thousand Oaks or Ventura, but will be considered an outbound sales representative.
    • Position will require the successful candidate to travel within Ventura County to represent the credit union to business owners, groups, etc.
    • Successful candidate will be expected to be comfortable giving presentations to large groups as well as speak in depth with business owners individually.
    • Candidate will interact with all branches and all levels of management and staff to train and promote sales of business services within the organization.
    • Position is sales driven and candidates will have goals to produce business loans, SBA loans and business deposit accounts and related services.
    • Successful candidate will receive salary plus commission/incentive for sales production.

  • Business Lending Manager (Full-tIme)

    Develop new business. This position is responsible for developing contacts and leads in order to generate SBA and conventional small business loans. The product lines will consist of all SBA products (including 7a, 504, and Express) and other government guaranteed loan programs the credit union participates in as well as conventional Small Business Loans, and Commercial Real Estate loans. This position will need to ensure compliance with all internal policies as well as all related laws, regulations and SOPs. This position will ensure that the department represents the Credit Union in the community through active participation in community affairs and marketing of the credit union’s business lending.

  • Consumer Loan Originator - Ventura (Full-time-Exempt)

    Sales professional responsible for self-sourcing high quality loans which meet VCCU guidelines, while providing excellent member service. Strong sales and organizational skills are essential.  Ongoing employment is contingent upon meeting all such requirements. Develop relationships with automotive dealers, medical and dental professionals, government agencies, and other business referral sources in and around Southern and Central California area. Develop knowledge of company products, policies and procedures, and underwriting requirements Understand consumer lending rules and regulations and compliance requirements. Inform prospective and existing members of VCCU programs, rates, policies, underwriting requirements, and loan procedures. Analyze detailed financial and credit data, matching member needs with an appropriate loan program and level of risk. Receive customer applications, quote rates and fees if any, and complete follow-up activities with customers and prospects. Develop and maintain a high degree of visibility for VCCU in the marketplace. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree preferred or at a minimum, Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; and/or a minimum of 1 year’s related consumer loan origination and 3 years sales background.     Licensed Investment Sales Assistant, Thousand Oaks, CA

    As a Sales Assistant, you become part of the credit union environment providing support to our Financial Advisor along with helping to build member relationships. The position is responsible for support and coordination of all activities related to client service, processing of paperwork and coordination of business development activities, as well as for a contribution to sales if appropriately licensed. 

    Qualified candidates must have:

    •   Licenses and Registrations:  FINRA Series 6 and 63, (7, 65 or 66 preferred)

    •   Insurance licenses:  life, accident, and health preferred

    •   Clean Background and CRD

    •   A minimum 2 years of experience in a support, sales, or administrative capacity, preferably in a financial service or sales environment

    •   Excellent organizational and communication skills
